Golden Hour on World Cafe
We are thrilled to share the news that World Cafe just did a feature on Golden Hour (formerly Concert in the Blind), the immersive musical experience we’ve been developing with our dear friends Daniel & Lauren Goans (of Lowland Hum).
Toss out what you know about concerts. Golden Hour is a new live music experience that invites you to come and inhabit music. There is no stage. There is no applause. There are no bad seats. This is live music in its purest form, without distractions. It's a chance to get to the heart of the music and then stay there for a while. Golden Hour is a deep listening opportunity designed by artists who want to be closer to their audiences; to be able to deliver songs to individuals en masse.

What if a concert could change the way you experience live music, not by what it adds, but by what it removes? What if there was nothing to see and no stage to look at? Charlottesville, Va., locals Suz Slezak and David Wax of David Wax Museum and Daniel and Lauren Goans of Lowland Hum have some answers.
Together the four artists have created a surround sound, immersive musical experience in which the audience members wear blindfolds or close their eyes. For today's session, we invite you to sit back, relax and close your eyes. Welcome to the Golden Hour, formerly called Concert In The Blind.
